Lucy Dale
Senior Consultant
Lucy is an experienced Chartered Occupational Psychologist who specialises in psychometrics, leadership development and coaching. She works with senior and middle managers to help them change their situation and develop positive, effective and sustaining ways of working. She particularly enjoys using the tools and techniques of positive psychology to develop natural strengths and energisers. Her insight and ability to pinpoint what is really going on is what gives her work real bite and challenge.
After obtaining her first degree in psychology, Lucy worked in the fast moving, competitive area of sales, then sales management for several large publishing firms, including latterly BBC Worldwide. She subsequently gained an MSc in Psychology, with a particular focus on organisational values and fit.
She then moved into consultancy, initially working in selection designing and validating psychometric tests and assessment/development centres before being drawn to developing existing people and teams.
Lucy holds British Psychological Society (BPS) Level A and Level B Intermediate Plus certificates in Occupational Testing and is licensed to use an array of tools. She is a member of The Association of Business Psychologists, The BPS, and of the Special Group in Coaching Psychology.
Business focus:
- Psychometric assessment and research Increasing the effectiveness of psychometrics through job analysis, writing psychometrics and analysing data from psychometric tests, exercises, pilot schemes and assessment/ development centres.
- Transition coaching Profiling and coaching to position the individual for personal and organisational success through planned change, promotion, redundancy and maternity.
- Design and implementation of nationwide change and leadership programmes Working with groups of managers on personal leadership, values, management skills, developing others and tools to build capability and a more dynamic, flexible management team.
- Executive coaching Profiling and coaching with senior and middle managers to develop their self awareness, personal values and leadership style, emotional intelligence, skills capability and approach to business relationships.
Lucy’s key differentiator is her robust psychological approach combined with her commercial understanding and warm engaging personal style.
