Catherine Joyce
Senior Consultant
With a hugely varied business background, Catherine spent 10 years in line management and Learning and Development in Shell UK, and ran her own L&D consultancy working with blue chip companies in the areas of leadership, change and management development for seven years before joining Organizational Edge. She grew up within a vibrant family business in Southern Ireland and started her career in business management. She also worked for several years as a Projects and Operations Director in the voluntary sector.
Catherine has extensive experience in facilitating and coaching directors and senior managers in a range of industries including IT, construction, manufacturing, engineering and retail. She especially enjoys working with individuals, teams and large groups who are in the process of business change and experiencing leadership challenges. Committed to helping people in business release their potential, Catherine has a passion for people, their development and helping them think about and plan to live their best lives.
Her experience ranges from designing, developing and delivering bespoke interventions, one-to-one and group coaching; action learning sets and facilitating large group interventions using Open Space Technology and Future Search to facilitate organisational and cultural change.
Catherine’s main areas of business focus within Organizational Edge are:
- Delivering Leadership Development Programmes; which can consist of group workshops, coaching of all individual, line manager debrief & support and project coordination
- Executive coaching; with a focus on helping people in business achieve greater success and improved business results through building and maintaining effective relationships; coaching team members to deliver the vision
- Group and team facilitation; working with teams, large and small, to facilitate and improve employee engagement, by developing a working alliance, building a shared vision, agreeing accountability and responsibility; role clarification, setting and delivering goals etc….
- Facilitating ‘deep dive’ 1 and 2 day Master Classes; on subjects such as Performance Management, Influencing & Persuasion, Assertiveness, Conflict resolution, Self Development
- Support to Business Leaders – Coaching: internal mentoring and coaching is a critical skill for today’s business leaders. Catherine provides a highly effective coaching programme and on-going supervision that enables key individuals to apply this technique to maximum benefit
With over ten years’ experience in Line Management in the corporate and voluntary sectors, Catherine has experienced the pressures and challenges that managers face in today’s business world. This perspective enables her to relate to, challenge and support, people in business who face the prospect of initiating, managing and/or responding to change.
A Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (FCIPD) she is also a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI). Catherine is a qualified coach and has a Diploma in Corporate Coaching and is a member of the European Coaching Institute.
